Dogs in parks
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in Winckley Square Gardens. However, please keep dogs under control and keep them on a lead when necessary. Please clean up after your dog and take care when passing other visitors with dogs.
For more details on dog laws in Preston visit Preston City Council – Dog laws in Preston.
Access for all
The gated entrances on the east, south and west sides are accessible to wheelchair users, mobility scooter users, the less mobile, disabled or those with young children in pushchairs. The northern entrances have steps and are not accessible.
The Friends of Winckley Square aim to make events available and accessible to all.
Guided walks can be adapted to avoid the steps. We also adapt our guided walks for the partially sighted.
We welcome groups with specific needs but ask you to contact us in advance so the appropriate arrangements can be made. Please contact Patricia on patricia@winckley.org.uk or 01772 254395.
