Polite persuasion or bombs? Follow in the footsteps of Preston women fighting for the right to vote and discover their tactics. Most people have heard of Edith Rigby because her aunt, Pheobe Hesketh, wrote a book ‘My Aunt Edith’. However, many Preston women were as courageous and as brave as her, but little is known about them. Learn about the Preston Suffragettes and Suffragists who played a part in the national campaign to gain equal suffrage.
